Lara Colturi
Speed. Freedom. Happiness. This is how Lara Colturi describes alpine skiing.
She grew up watching World Cup races, skiing with friends, and admiring pro skiers. Now it’s her time to be at the starting gate, aiming to be one of the best skiers in the world.
In this episode of the She Rides video series, we met Lara in Solden to chat about goals, pressure, and motivations.

"I started skiing when I was, I think, 13 months old. It was in Sankt Moritz, where my mum competed and I skied with my dad. My family has a very strong background in skiing, so having them with me has always been normal".

"In ski racing, women already play an important role, which is not the case in other sports - some female skiers are even more popular than men. Sometimes we compete in the same venues and that’s a very positive thing. In the future, I hope more and more young girls will enjoy skiing and ski racing because for me it’s the best sport".

"What motivates me is performance, doing my best, having good results in the competitions, and being among the best. And of course winning".
