KASK AND KOO PROUD TO SUPPORT BOTH THE STRADE BIANCHE AND GRAN FONDO STRADE BIANCHE

KASK has once again demonstrated its support for the Strade Bianche and the Gran Fondo Strade Bianche, becoming an official partner alongside its brand KOO for the eagerly awaited first WorldTour race in Italy this year.
On Saturday 4 March, Siena and the Crete Senesi will host the the men’s pro race – promoted to the UCI WorldTour calendar – and the women’s race, which opens the season of the UCI Women’s WorldTour. The third edition of the Strade Bianche Women Elite race starts at 9.30am from Siena’s famous Fortezza Medicea, with 11th Edition of Strade Bianche – the star-studded men’s race with a full roster of WorldTour teams – following from the same stunning venue at 11am.
On Sunday 5 March, the amateurs get their chance to ride the same route as the pro’s. The Gran Fondo Strade Bianche offers riders a choice of the ‘long course’ of 129.8km with eight challenging ‘white road’ gravel road sectors and a total of 1,350m climbing, or the ‘short course’: 77km with six iconic gravel sectors and 950m total elevation.
The Italian helmet manufacturer has also announced a limited edition Strade Bianche helmet. The KASK Protone Strade Bianche mirrors the striking deep red of the official jersey, embellished with the Strade Bianche logo on the top of the helmet. The Protone Strade Bianche will be available in either medium or large – each helmet coming in its own special personalised box – in stores globally from the end of February.

KASK will be on hand to ask questions in the event village at Strade Bianche, and will also have the KOO eyewear on display.
The decision to work with Strade Bianche and to create the exclusive helmets, is part of KASK’s “100% Made in Italy” drive, which seeks to promote the passion and quality of Italian craftsmanship, echoing the Italian passion for cycling.
KASK’s Ylenia Battistello, says: “We really enjoy attending the Strade Bianche, the atmosphere at both the race and Gran Fondo is always exciting. The route is stunning and a real test for all riders taking on the challenge. KASK is proud to be a part of such an iconic event.”
After the great success of the 2016 edition – where more than 2,000 sportive riders participated at the Gran Fondo Strade Bianche – in 2017 already 4,000 cyclists have signed up, showing how this event is growing thanks to its incredible appeal, raced in the unique scenery of Siena and of the Crete Senesi.
