KASK CELEBRATES TEAM INEOS TOUR DE FRANCE ONE-TWO WITH LIMITED EDITION TOUR YELLOW HELMETS

KASK is delighted to celebrate the first Grand Tour victory of Team INEOS’ Egan Bernal, winner of the 2019 Tour de France, as well as the second place finish of team-mate and defending champion, Geraint Thomas, with a limited edition run of Tour Yellow Utopia, Valegro and Protone helmets.
Team INEOS has used KASK helmets since its inception as Team Sky in 2010, and the Italian helmet manufacturer has now supported the team to seven Tour de France victories with four different riders.
The 2019 Tour de France is one that will live long in the memory, with twists and turns accompanied the drama of a challenging course, extreme weather conditions and the emergence of a new Grand Tour-winning star for Team INEOS. With the 2019 victory, Bernal has become the youngest Tour de France winner in over a century, as well as the first Colombian to stand on top of the podium wearing the yellow jersey in Paris.
Along the journey to Paris, Team INEOS had at its disposal KASK’s range of high performance helmets, including the aerodynamic Utopia, lightweight Valegro the all-round Protone. At the Tour, all the riders can choose the model that suits them best for each stage, according to its characteristics, the weather and the rider's role, as well as individual preference.
With record temperatures hitting Europe during the final week of the Tour as the riders transitioned from the Pyrenees to the Alps, and in the mountains themselves where airflow is critical, Valegro and Protone’s leading cooling performance took precedence for the riders. For the flat stages where aerodynamics were more important, Utopia was chosen, reflecting KASK’s philosophy of designing and manufacturing helmets that are tailored for the demands of the ride.
All three limited edition Tour Yellow helmets are being made available to distributors to buy, and will be available for the public to buy later in the year from KASK stockists.

Carsten Jeppesen, Team INEOS Head of Technical Operations & Commercial said: “The team has been working closely with KASK since its inception and in that time has enjoyed incredible success. This Tour de France win means that we have now won 10 Grand Tours.
KASK’s versatile range of products has helped us perform at the highest level and be at our best for every type of stage imaginable over the years, and this year’s Tour de France was no exception. Our shared philosophy of continually optimising performance will no doubt see even more success in the future, too.”
Alberto Fonte, KASK Sales and Marketing Director, said: "Our partnership with Team INEOS has brought unrivaled success at the Tour de France since the first victory in 2012. 2019 marks the seventh yellow jersey of the team and KASK together, and we are immensely proud of all that we’ve achieved together.
"In collaboration with Team INEOS, we have designed and manufactured the Utopia, Valegro and Protone helmets, with each specifically designed to allow the riders reach maximum performance. In celebration of this partnership and Egan’s historic victory, we are excited to launch these limited edition runs of Tour Yellow helmets.”
