KASK AND INEOS GRENADIERS EXTEND PARTNERSHIP UNTIL 2024

17th December 2020 – Chiuduno, Italy: Multi award-winning cycling helmet manufacturer KASK has extended its long-standing partnership with the most decorated cycling team in history, INEOS Grenadiers, after signing a four-year contract renewal until 2024. Since the start of their collaboration in 2010, the riders of INEOS Grenadiers (formerly Team Sky and Team INEOS) have ridden KASK helmets to numerous victories on the WorldTour stage – including, most notably, seven Tours de France. Today’s announcement cements the continuation of an extremely successful relationship.

KASK’s Grand Tour-winning history with INEOS Grenadiers began with the iconic Mojito; the helmet that saw Sir Bradley Wiggins through to the team’s first Tour de France victory in 2012. The much-loved Protone arrived in 2014 and was worn to the team’s fourth Grand Tour conquest just one year later. In 2016, KASK renewed its contract with the British outfit, later launching the lightweight Valegro (first seen in the 2017 Tour de France) and the game-changing Utopia aero-helmet (unveiled at 2018’s Tour Down Under). Both helmets have crossed the finish line first for multiple stage victories, occupied the top step of all three Grand Tour podiums and had more than their fair share of yellow, pink and red colour transformations in the years since.

The 2020 racing season proved to be yet another great success for both INEOS Grenadiers and KASK. Tao Geoghegan Hart conquered the Giro d’Italia, Filippo Ganna became World Time Trial Champion and Richard Carapaz took second place at the Vuelta a España – all wearing KASK helmets. Next season looks even more promising, with the exciting addition of several world-class riders to the INEOS Grenadiers roster including Adam Yates (GB), Richie Porte (AUS), Daniel Martinez (COL), Laurens de Plus (BEL) and Tom Pidcock (GB). Today, KASK is proud to announce its latest renewal, and looks forward to another four years of history in the making.

For many years, INEOS Grenadiers have had – and continue to have – an active involvement in the design and development of a number of KASK helmets. Most recently, these models have included:

• Utopia – KASK’s fastest ever road helmet was developed in partnership with Team INEOS in time for the 2018 road racing season and beyond. Aerodynamics are at the forefront of its design, although ventilation remained a key factor for Team INEOS during its development. Perfectly suited for road racing and triathlon, the Utopia continues to be worn by INEOS Grenadiers all year round, in all climates, thanks to its refined cooling system when riding at high speed.
• Protone – a long-standing favourite of INEOS Grenadiers. The Protone is the perfect all-rounder helmet. It was developed to be a light, comfortable and high-performance model that allowed fast heat dissipation while maintaining the lowest drag coefficient of any ventilated helmet available.
• Valegro – A helmet developed with the WorldTour team for use in hot, mountainous climbing conditions. The Valegro was worn by Egan Bernal as he famously rode into a substantial lead during the weather-stricken Stage 19 of the 2019 Tour de France, which eventually led him to take the yellow jersey and become the youngest Tour de France winner in more than a century. The Valegro continues to be INEOS Grenadiers’ go-to helmet for long climbing stages.
• Bambino Pro – the time-trial specialists’ model has been worn by Team Sky for some of their most efficient performances – both as a team and individuals, on road and track.

KASK and INEOS Grenadiers look forward to working together for at least the next four years, with high expectations for continuing their successful partnership and adding to the existing range of Grand Tour-winning helmets.
