KASK ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP WITH LUCY CHARLES-BARCLAY

The Triathlon star is ready for her epic comeback at Kona Ironman World Championship

The 29-year-old British triathlete has previously won three consecutive silver medals at Kona, from 2017 to 2019, and can boast two victories at IRONMAN® South Africa in 2018 and 2019, together with her victory at the 2019 Challenge Roth.

In September 2021 she claimed her first world title at the IRONMAN® 70.3 World Championships, and three months prior to that, also won the European Championships over the same distance, setting a new course record in the process.

Like every KASK sponsored triathlete, Charles-Barclay will have the Bambino ProBambino Pro Evo and Mistral helmets available to them for their 180km time trial rides at Kona. All three models offer cutting-edge aerodynamics which will play a crucial role in their battles against the clock.

The Bambino Pro and Bambino Pro Evo both feature innovative designs, with several ventilation holes positioned at the front of each helmet to provide coolness and comfort during intense competition. A 5mm padded insert allows for the rapid dissipation of moisture, while both helmets also include magnetically integrated visors. At their rear, the Bambino Pro features a truncated tail while the Bambino Pro Evo offers a longer alternative.

The Mistral, meanwhile, features six front openings and two rear vents, and a design that includes extended internal channels to provide all riders with a constant level of comfort.

Lucy-Charles Barclay said: “I’m delighted to be working with KASK. When I’m competing, I always strive to improve every aspect of my performance so I can gain a physical and mental edge, and aerodynamics is something I actively work on with my partners. I’m looking forward to doing that with KASK, creating the best possible set-up which complements my own particular strengths. In addition to their aerodynamic features, I also appreciate the lightness of KASK’s Bambino and Mistral helmets. Knowing every bit of energy I save goes into increasing my speed on the bike gives me extraordinary confidence. The helmets’ special characteristics will also help to keep me cool in the extreme conditions we’ll face in Kona.”
